This is a unique mint error and the only one known for any of the denominations in the Seated series (Half Dimes through Dollars). All die trials for US TYPE coins are extremely rare. This piece was in the collection of a well known East Coast coin dealer. This die trial shows the full date and part of the design on the obverse and reverse.
