This rare Buffalo Nickel off-metal was discovered and certified in late 2025. It was in an old-time mint error collection with a few other rare off-metal type coins. It is in gem mint state condition, fully struck, with light original toning and incredible luster.

It is the second finest known Buffalo Nickel struck on a dime planchet. The finest known is a 1913 Buffalo Nickel certified NGC MS 66 and is valued at 6-figures. Below is a complete record of all known examples.
